Knob Creek 15 year old Kentucky Straight Bourbon is a small-batch whiskey of exceptional quality, intended as a continuation of its predecessors such as the 2001 vintage. This bourbon is composed of a mash bill containing 77% corn, 13% rye, and 10% malted barley, and is aged for a minimum of 15 years in new charred oak barrels before being bottled at 50% ABV. The nose is redolent with the aroma of aged oak infused with sweet dark fruits, hints of leather and vanilla, and a splash of citrus. The palate is rich and complex, with flavors of caramel, spices, wildflowers, and cocoa-coated marshmallows intertwining. The finish is long and warm, leaving a satisfying sensation like a cool Kentucky sunset settling in your belly. This is a bourbon that will leave you feeling as though you are standing in a mountain creek with the sun on your back.
